Doing some family tree research for school, your great-great-grandchild Googles your name. Little Junior is presented with a fact box that lists your life’s primary accomplishments in a couple of brief sentences.
Now, we won’t ask you what the box would say, but take a minute to imagine it yourself and honestly ask yourself if you’d feel satisfied knowing that whatever you’re doing now was the be all and end all of what you’d left behind.
If you’re anything like most people I know, you have big dreams of what you’d like to accomplish with your life. You dream of the kinds of traits you’d like to master, the sense of integrity you wish to live with, the kind of friend and family member you’d want to be, and the meaningful contributions you’d like to make.
But, again, if you’re anything like most people I know, chances are your daily reality isn’t quite reflecting those deep aspirations. Maybe you have a job that’s fine but that you’re not super-passionate about. Or you’re in school for something practical that you can’t really see yourself caring all that much about in the long run. Or something that will please others in your life, but doesn’t really speak to your heart.
The common thread is a gap between where you are and where you want to be.
For some of us, the problem is that we feel lost because we’ve never stopped to set our direction. We may never have asked ourselves life’s fundamental questions like, “Where do I want to be headed?” or, “What legacy do I want to leave?”
For others, our problem is that we’re stuck waiting for something external to happen to us –for that great “aha” moment where life hands us all the answers. “When life slows down/ I land a killer job/ I earn my first million/ I meet my life partner… that’s when everything will fall into place,” we convince ourselves. Until then, we procrastinate…
Some folks have both done the legwork and are willing to take the plunge right now but they’re lacking the practical skills they need to achieve their goals and turn their dreams into a reality.
Well, the good news is that no matter where you stand, we’ve got something for you.
The Achieve Your Goals course will walk you through setting your direction and re-directing your life accordingly. You’ll ask yourself fundamental questions you may never have stopped to think about, you’ll gain a solid understanding of your fears and hesitations, and, most importantly, you’ll gain the skills you need to break your dreams down into attainable goals and to turn your life around FOR REAL.
In the timeless words of the late author and motivational speaker Jim Rohn, “If you don’t design your own life plan, chances are you’ll fall into someone else’s plan. And guess what they have planned for you? Not much.”
So, join us as we stop waiting for something big to happen before we start achieving our life goals. Living our dreams begins today – and we’ll show you how.
